Schedule flexibility is required based on receiving, shipping, production support, staffing, and other business needs. Additional hours or adjusted schedules may be required as business needs change.

Vanns Spices is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to independently lead our day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise a team of approximately 4–5 employees.

This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced supervisor who can manage daily priorities with limited supervision, make sound operational decisions, solve problems, and follow issues through to completion. The right candidate will have strong experience in inventory control, receiving, shipping, fulfillment, employee leadership, and warehouse operations and will maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily inbound/outbound activities, including material movement, staging, loading, and unloading.
• Oversee receiving and shipping documentation, verification, ERP transactions, and coordination.
• Set priorities and direct the Warehouse team's daily work.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical verification, and discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Warehouse.
• Ensure materials and customer orders are received, stored, picked, staged, and shipped properly.
• Identify problems, implement practical solutions, and improve Warehouse processes and inventory controls.
• Train, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance and workplace expectations.
• Document performance concerns and deliver disciplinary notices when necessary, following management/HR approval.
• Operate forklifts and other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) when needed.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), allergen controls, food safety, SQF, sanitation, and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong receiving, shipping, fulfillment, and inventory-control experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
• Forklift/PIT experience required.
• ERP or inventory system experience required; SYSPRO is a plus.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• English proficiency required. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable and professional working with employees whose primary language may not be English and using translation resources when needed.
