Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Acute Care Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care required License: California License required; may submit with license pending with proof of submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Acute care experience is required. Trauma experience is highly preferred. Comfortable working independently in a Level II trauma environment. Description: This position involves providing inpatient physical therapy services in an acute care setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a requirement to work 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks, either Saturday or Sunday. Candidates should be experienced in treating a variety of conditions, including trauma, cardiopulmonary issues, orthopedic cases, and neurological disorders. Ideal candidates will have experience managing acute patient care, specifically those recovering from strokes, open heart surgeries, or multiple traumas. You may be required to float to nearby facilities. Experience in using adaptive devices and performing assessments is crucial. Providers must be able to effectively communicate patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Positions require adherence to safety protocols and patient care standards. All candidates must have the ability to manage functional activities and discharge planning effectively. Candidates with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple patient cases are preferred.
